After tragically suffering the loss of their sweet baby girl, The Frollo Family, with the help of non-profit organization Ashlie’s Embrace, raised money and donated several cuddle cots across the country, including one to The Maternity Center at Elliot Health System.
The Cuddle Cot is a cooling system that allows families suffering the loss of a baby additional time to bond with their baby, create moments together, and say goodbye. The system works by keeping the baby at a cool temperature to preserve them and giving the grieving family time.
“Suffering the loss of a baby is incredibly tragic and difficult. At The Elliot, we are committed to supporting our families through such a devastating event, and providing them with resources to help them through their grief. Having a cuddle cot available to our families is essential in providing that support. We are thankful to the Frollo family, and Ashlie’s Embrace, for this generous donation,” Katelyn Tekin, BSN-RNC-OB, Clinical Nurse Manager in Labor and Delivery and Childbirth Education at Elliot Health System, says.
Since receiving this gift, The Elliot was able to provide a grieving family time to spend with their baby. We are forever grateful for this donation.
