Elliot Hospital continues its designation as an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence by our accrediting body, DNV. This designation affirms Elliot Hospital’s excellence in the provision of diagnostic services, surgical services, and therapies related to orthopedic care.
“This designation assures our community that we have the ability to provide consistent, high-quality orthopaedic care,” said Elliot Health System Vice President of Surgical Services Beverly Primeau. “Our patients can be confident that we have the right equipment, personnel, and training to provide the highest-quality care. Achieving this designation validates all the effort we have put into orthopaedic services and to ensuring the health and safety of our patients.”
The DNV Orthopaedic Center of Excellence designation is obtained by achieving certification in at least three orthopaedic service line programs based on requirements set forth by DNV. These requirements are informed by the guidelines of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Additional certifications received by Elliot Hospital’s orthopaedic surgery program include those for hip and knee replacement, spine surgery, and shoulder surgery. DNV certification for these programs validates the hospital’s excellence across the spectrum of orthopaedic surgery, from diagnosis to treatment, rehabilitation, education, and outcomes.
